Creedence begins the quest by sending Darius, who he thinks he can control, the find the tablet. Throughout the story, he challenges and is challenged by Darius, Jael, and M3747r0n.

  • Character's goal: Creedence wants control of the tablet and the virus, so he can wipe out the Low Gods, who are preventing him from developing Artificial Super Intelligence.
  • Character's motivation: Creedence is driven by power and greed. He believes he alone can save the world from itself.
  • Character's conflict: Creedence is in direct conflict with Darius, Jael, and M3747r0n, who want to stop him from gaining more power.
  • Character's epiphany: Creedence's epiphany comes only after his body dies from Jael's attack. He realizes that holding onto his physical form was limiting his true power.

Creedence seeks power because he believes only he can save humanity from its impending doom, as he knows the current global structure of techno-provinces is unsustainable. He believes the creation of an Artificial Super Intelligence is the key to that power, and he knows the Low Gods are preventing from that creation. After recovering the table from Darius, only to be killed by Jael, Creedence's consciousness is merged with the ElCorp AGI, creating a hybrid of man and machine. Creedence's final destruction comes at the hands of M3747r0n, who is able to wipe corrupt the system.
